Dear Neighbor:

For the past 20+ years, I have had the privilege of representing families, businesses and non-profits in connection with a wide variety of legal disputes. Most of these families, businesses and non-profits are our neighbors here in Bucks County. Although always a trial attorney, helping clients through the litigation process, the substantive legal areas of my practice have been many. I have helped clients in connection with everything from breach of contract and tort matters to real estate, employment, intellectual property and civil rights cases. Additionally I have handled matters involving the litigation of marital agreements and also Will contests and contested guardianships in Orphans’ Court. All in all, I have handled many of the very types of cases that come before the Judges on the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.

Throughout these past 20+ years of practice, I have spent a great deal of time serving my community – the same community in which I was raised and am raising my own teenage sons. This includes providing pro bono representation to victims of domestic abuse, serving as a volunteer coach for the Bensalem School District Mock Trial team and volunteering for many Bucks County non-profits over the years, including, the Red Cross, United Way, YWCA, Youth Orchestra of Bucks County and 100 Women Who Care. Additionally, I am very involved in the business community, participating as a member of multiple chambers of commerce, serving as prior Board Chair of the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, and currently serving as its pro bono counsel.

Currently, I am a partner at the law firm of Antheil, Maslow & MacMinn, LLP in Doylestown. I practice in the State and Federal Courts, and at the trial and appellate levels. I have appeared before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and am admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit Court. In addition to advocating for clients, I am also a formally trained mediator.

I grew up here in Bucks County. I graduated from Neshaminy High School, the University of Delaware and Temple Law School. I currently live in Middletown Township with my husband of 22 years, Jason Bowman, and our two sons, Ryan (18) and Zack (16).

Our judges do important work. They make decisions that have a significant impact on the lives of not just those in the courtroom, but very often, many others in the community – family members, neighbors, employers. I am running for Bucks County Judge because the position offers a unique opportunity to do this important work – to have a significant positive impact – in my own community using the skill sets and experience I have developed throughout the past 20+ years. If elected, I promise not to forget just how significant that day in court is for the litigant, witness or victim who appears before me. I will not only be prepared, but also apply the law impartially. I promise to be open minded and fair, and to treat all those in the courtroom with dignity and respect.

I appreciate your consideration on Nov. 5th. Thank you. Denise
